My tonneau cover was damaged during shipping of the vehicle (I’m still haggling with the shipper’s insurance company 😖), so need to replace. Most review sites offer details, but I’m looking for pros and cons of various types. Priorities include: weather proof, durability, easy removal when not needed, and of course good value for $. I know many of you have different types from different brands, so would appreciate your experience. After some research, I’m considering this:
Calffree Hard Folding Truck Bed Tonneau Cover|CFHT-037|Fits 2022-2024 Ford Maverick 4' 6" Bed (54.4")

Lots of tonneau cover threads on here. Start below here, if nothing there do a search on "tonneau covers".
When the new truck was shipped, it was Fords, why are you having to hagle about it?

I've had a truxedo on every truck. Usually the lo-pro but think I'm going with the Sentry on the Maverick (not the Sentry CT because the birds that fly over stain it lol)

I like the one I got from the Ford dealer. Soft tri-fold. Keeps the water out, easy to operate. Not too difficult to remove.

I bought a Gatorback with the polymer panels and am relatively happy with it. It looks exactly like the Ford tri-panel hard cover and it fits well, is easy to remove and re-install, has a cable release for each panel and is relatively water resistant. (in heavy rain or the carwash some water gets in around the tailgate area) I would recommend the aluminum version as the sun has really beaten up the surface of the polymer and the aluminum weighs just slightly more. cost was about $800 on sale

Thank you…see what I’m considering. What made you choose the Gatorback?

I bought the Extang Trifecta 2.0 same as the Ford soft tri-fold only differences are (cheaper price and no Ford logo). As mentioned above very easy to remove as the bed is very small

I had to replace the springs with lighter ones on the soft trifold because the original springs were too strong for the wife to pull down to latch and unlatch the panel at the tailgate.

What made you decide on this one? Why soft vs hard trifold

I was thinking of going with a soft roll-up due to lower weight and cost, plus it doesn't block the bed when it's fully rolled up. I don't know if any of them are 100% waterproof, so you may be disappointed with that if it's a high priority.
