Glad I opted for the 2.0 turbo!
Curious why you would think an odd not common issue with something in/with fuel tank would not happen on EB?

They don't state what issue exactly - but not exactly a bunch is uncommon between the 2 models, compared to all the other things being required on both.

I would not be shocked if it really does require a whole new fuel tank assembly on both models for exactly the same issue. (if that truly is the only solution to actual issue, which I'm skeptical of anyway).

Of course that assumes your problem is related to emmissions.

That's for California and other CARB states as mentioned earlier in thread. NM technically is, but doesn't go into effect for a few more years apparently.

I used to have the Check Engine Light come on every 1-2 weeks, seemingly random.

Frustrating and dealership was no help with diagnosis either.

Read some threads here about not topping off hybrid fuel tank.
Something about the pressurized/capless fuel system and that little bit of extra gas from the 2nd pump would throw a Check Engine Light.

I no longer top off the fuel at pumps (1st click and done) and have not had the Check Engine Light re-appear.
Has been over a year.

Correlation is not necessarily causation, but that worked for me.

2022 Hybrid XL with about 57,500 miles.
