Leaving your gas flap open will also give your a CEL. So don't fear it too much. If it let's you drive and goes off later so be it.

I started up once and it cycled the CEL on and then restart it was off. Some sensor threw a code and just the intricacies of modern computers.

Still drives like when I drove it home the first day, not losing power will update tomorrow when I take it in first thing in the morning

Can’t be too serious if it allows you to restart truck and if you don’t notice anything off.
There where a rash of 2 dollar sensors on the emissions control side that failed way too early. But I expect those have already made it past a weak batch by now.
According to rep lady her tablet show that the maverick didn't take too well the fuel that I pump for it which was 87. Left the truck at the shop this morning. They reminded me that they had 40 appointments and no loner cars.

Was it crap level gas? Thought 87 was the normal grade used.

Ah, sounds like reality or brush off? Can’t figure. If you still have the truck a fuel system cleaner can offset marginally poor gas and raise the octane slightly. Recommend Techron by Chevron.
I once worked for the main gas testing not for profit. The photo on their label was ‘ours’. all gas from the limited and shared across brands refineries have known impurities. The ‘brand’ you select is only different based on the type and amount of ‘cleaner’ compounds that trap or bind with impurities so they pass through to the tail pipe.
Cheap gas uses a small amount of expensive cleaners or a large amount of cheap cleaners ( Costco )

This is what they said it's faulty from the factory, I can still drive it and the Part would take 4 days for them to get it.

Wow, that is actually great news, based on others real life experience with Ford and Ford service…. Just saying would and is horrible two trips half day each to replace something that should have never left the factory.

The same 4G LTE connection the truck uses for Fordpass. ;) It sends all kind of data back to home base (Ford). Diagnostic data, where it is, and such. All this is written in plain language in the user manual.
I went into settings & turned off the "out going" connection, but left the incoming on.

It's possible you got E85 instead of E10 87. This happened to me once on a trip with my old car, it didn't run quite as good, but I was able to continue my trip, what clued me into it was the huge drop in mpg for that tank of fuel.
