I hear you, but I seem to be able to find the applicable page just as fast in my owners manual.
Reading it and watching paint dry, yep good point.
When my truck was new I’d make a list of three or so things I wanted to know then use the index and find the answers.

But there was a few frustrating searches in that 600 page long book that was half lawyer speak.

That's a good approach, and one can learn things that you didn't know you didn't know.

Since they don't give you a paper copy anymore, some people may think, "Read the manual, what manual, I only got a pamphlet !"

Some of the questions asked on the forum can be truly difficult to find on your own, because although the manual can provide answers, that's only true if you have the right question.

A great example. The little green pull tab in the rear wheel well on the drivers side.
What's that for?
You might find it if you look for how to open gas door when the button doesn't work, but how do you find it when you don't know what it is?

If you look for something "green", like the green pull tab, you get 25 hits for that word, none of which have anything to do with the door release. I just tried that and several other searches on the pdf, and I could not find any reference to it without knowing what it was already.

Maybe a sticky thread on "What the hell is this on my Maverick" might help..

Manual has instructions of how to shutoff that seat belt chime. After several attempts per manual instruction for drivers seat belt, no dice. Came to here to learn more, made adjustment to procedure finally got some success.

Now for passengers side, nothing works, the procedure failing. So got a seat belt extension insert and that works. And no real procedure, instructions here.

When… or what models didn’t come with a paper full manual clogging up the glove box (I can barely fit gloves in there). MY24 Hybrid has one… or was my salesman being nice?

I think our 2024’s were the last to have it.

Take it out of the glove box, mine sits on the back of the toilet. It’s good for some light reading from time to time

What color would you like the oil light to be changed to?

Yellow is such a traditional color - like the amber of the new oil I'm guessing.

I guess a deep brown as a reminder light color of what happens if you keep ignoring it might be useful.

Model year 2024 was last year for the printed manual.
Ford has joined GM, Volvo, Stellantis, Maserati, Nissan and Toyota
have all discontinued printed owners manuals included in their vehicles.

It's wild what's acceptable nowadays for car makers. Especially with prices going up every year. My last car was a 2017 Hyundai Elantra I bought used. No owners manual so I found one on Ebay. Just makes life easier. Don't get me wrong you can Google anything nowadays and thankfully us Maverick owners have this awesome chat but it's nice to pick up a physical manual whenever you want I still have one in my 1991 Camaro with a leather cover. I was just in it the other day to found out which fuses I wanted to check. Headlights stopped working, all fuses checked out. Apparently the headlights power through the headlight switch and when you upgrade to H4 lights the switch burns out. I didn't know this when upgrading the lights. Thanks for the info Google, although a little late lol time to swap the originals back in. Waiting for delivery of my new headlight switch now. Live and learn.

Just in case the owner is into some light reading while he's enjoying a bologna sandwich with gray poupon. Rolls-Royce still includes a printed owner's manual in a bespoke leather case.
