I can't stand the noise, dust, fumes and pollen with the windows down. If it's hot, I turn on the air, if it's cold, I turn on the heat....Doesn't really matter much to me as I almost never use A/C.

I wonder if anybody else finds the center dash climate vents annoying. They blow right onto my arm. I noticed them when first driving my Maverick home from the dealer. It is quite annoying. They can't be turned off/closed... if the system is on, air will come out of those vents. Anybody else?
If anybody sells aftermarket replacement vents that can be closed, you'll have a customer here. In the meanwhile, I will be wearing long sleeve shirts this summer just to avoid this annoyance.
Every other car I've ever owned has a little slider next to each vent so that you can manually close it. Like this:

I will add that it's easy to do that in the Northeast where we really only have about two months of really hot weather and even then anything above 90° is rare. I'm sure if was in Texas, New Mexico Nevada, etc I would have a different approach with A/C.Lucky you! I’m jealous![]()
I love the warm summer weather so much. First thing I do when I get in the truck is all four windows down and moonroof open.I can't stand the noise, dust, fumes and pollen with the windows down. If it's hot, I turn on the air, if it's cold, I turn on the heat.
What Dave saidI find the location very annoying too..
But like others have said, turn it all the way to the left or right and it'll be closed.
If you don't believe us, look at it in the light, you'll see.

When it's 90°+ outside, I do that - when I first get in a vehicle and crank the a/c. Within a minute, the windows all get closed!I love the warm summer weather so much. First thing I do when I get in the truck is all four windows down and moonroof open.
