Water, fuel and oil, all of it ends up in your intercooler it also ends up contaminating your oil, none of which is good lubricant.

Anything other than fuel going thru the engine creates detonation. Detonation is bad in a na application and even worse in a boosted application. Im all for keeping crap out of my intake and letting the engine be as efficient as possible.

OIl, yes it does, water, not so much. you would think, as warm as the cooler runs under boost, most of the water that condenses in it would evaporate.

Turbo cars and Direct injection definitely need catch cans. I was fortunate enough to actually have a pretty trouble free VW golf R for about 100k miles after buying with 45k. The difference in my my intake and intercooler lines in between walnut blastings spoke for itself. They looked cleaner in between 45k-150k than it did when I first took the intake off at 45k along with all the oil that was in my intercooler.

No, the drain is on the catch can, the catch can keeps the intercooler clean.

I agree that you cant fix stupid, not permitting someone to write something because it might be stupid is not how free speech works . Twitter files prove that no?
