Is there a second Cat Converter and if so has anyone installed a cage to protect it?

It is my understanding that there are two. One is on the down pipe from manifold tucked up against the fire wall. The other is further down under the vehicle on the exhaust.

I lifted my truck 2” so easy to get to. And at my work I had to take a commercial bus in to get replaced and it was $1200.00 with a cage. I looked and the cages are from 200-300. So I made mine own for a whole $25.00.

What exactly is a cage made from the people think a person can't cut through with power tools and determination?

Goal is theft deterrent. They want fast and easy with less noise. Try using a sawzal on metal braided cable. Not easy at all.
If it makes you feel better, go with that. But they're already under there with a reciprocating saw cutting through the exhaust. A few cables isn't going to stop them.

If they are able to cut on both sides it’s still wrapped around my sway bar. That’s how all the cages are designed. They can cut it out but not take it.
They want fast and easy.

Cables prevent a reciprocating saw but not a rotary cut-off wheel. Any cage, any cable, slows them down by 1 to 2 minutes. That's it. We need great deterrents. Not a lot of preventative measures available. Maybe having a sprinkler come on based on a motion detector is as good as anything. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Maybe have a red laser (aka gun sight) come on pointed at your truck based on a motion sensor. 🤷🏻‍♂️
