Although, InstaCrates fit fantastic in the Maverick. You can fit 3 side-by-side between the tailgate and the wheel wells. Then 2 more behind those and so on. I have about a dozen of these crates that get abused on a very regular basis.

You have any photos of how well they fit? Probably too tall to stack a pair under a tonneau cover, but I'm intrigued. Might have to pull out my tape measure and see how they'd use the space.

I used to have something like them for a chest freezer. Collapsible milk crates are a great idea, if they're built to hold up to use.

It looks like it has a seal on the lid, so probably is. I would buy that box immediately, if I knew where to get it! Hopefully, they'll be available soon, because I want one!

While they stack nicely two high in the bed, you wouldn't be able to close a cover. They stand about 4 inches proud of the bed side.
