What do you mean by bed spacer? The holes in the drop in liner are not big enough to fit the flange for the tie down. The bed liner has to be cut to get the flange to sit flat. Am I missing something?

I did this mod this weekend. Was really easy. I had never tapped holes before using a thread tap. Took about 15 minutes to tap all the holes. Was surprised at how easy it was. Toughest part was cutting the bedliner plastic. Used a utility knife. The flange depth is slightly more than the thickness of the bedliner so it still protrudes up a bit. Thinking of a solution. Might try some insulation foam cut to fit to fill the gap. Nice cheap mod though.

The bedliner came with spacer pieces to use with the factory tie-downs (if you had them) so they would not crush the plastic when you installed them and bolted them tight. With the cup plates set down in cut holes, not a necessity.

Yep thanks for the thread link. I have seen it a few times already and is a great tutorial Thanks!!!

I need to know the distant apart from each hole for just one bracket. I have mine covered up and in my very some town they have some anchoring items without the recessed dish. I will buy them if the hole alignment is the same. I believe the distance is 1-1/2 inches.

Thanks

Wanting to do this for my XL but I'm seeing conflicting info on doing these... are the holes pre-threaded or not? Some are saying use a tap (possible danger if already pre-threaded) and some are saying use a thread chaser. Any thoughts on this?

Also I am using the Bed Rug textured/padded floor liner. Any issues that these could cause?
