Don't fool yourself,....my 2025 dash rattles in at least 3 spots and is far worse than my 2023 was. It's worse after they performed the PADI recall I specifically told the dealer not to do, but they suck so bad I don't want them touching my truck anymore.
That hurts my heart to hear. I've seen different forum post about known rattle spots for fixes. Has anyone found the 3 spots you think noises is coming from?
My current car is the door, speaker area, and what sounds like the area by the windshield and the dash.

Leaving the dash rattle out of it, would you say the upgrades in tech from the 23 to the 25 was worth it for you? I'm thinking AWD (what I wanted), bigger info screen, 360 camera and wireless carplay would be worth $5,000 cost difference?

100% the bigger screen + Sync4 and wireless Android is worth it over smaller slower Sync3.

Yes - I do 100%.

However I went from a 2023 XLTremor + Lux package to a 2025 Lariat AWD Hybrid. I loved my Tremor but always filled the ecoboost with premium and when accounting for that the MPG efficiency was that of a mid size or full size and I just felt I didn't need (although I'd prefer to have it) the advanced AWD system.

The jump from XLT + Lux to Lariat is pretty significant before you consider Sync 4, larger screens, 360 cameras.

I got the ActiveX (which I prefer), power sliding rear window, push button (which I know is now standard on XLT), intelligent access door entry, B&O sound system, cargo management system, one touch up/down windows, etc and it just makes for a much more premium feeling vehicle in my opinion.

While I miss the advanced AWD system - I am very pleased with the 2025 AWD Hybrid Lariat 4K I've got and won't be parting with it anytime soon.

We also didn't hit on the brand new HF55 transaxle packing serious power improvements....

Thank you! I appreicate the thoughtful response and the comment on the new transaxle (didn't know about).

I'm going to put a few feelers out to some dealers. If anyone can get me $35k out the door I won't hesitate but my stretch might go as far as $37K out the door. I'd really love to get into the 2025 but I'm not made of money and I gotta dream big on pricing to make it worth it for me.

Thanks again.

A few years ago I was going to purchase a Chevy truck from Carmax. Had low miles. I called and asked if there were any issues. They said none, in perfect condition. I got the VIn and checked it on CARFAX. It showed some maintenance records but also showed a front and rear accident. Did not say how bad. Called them back and they acted surprised. Most dealers use CARFAX or AUTOCHECK. Never went back again.
Story is, when you buy a used vehicle check the VIN with a service to get real facts and take to a trusted mechanic to go over it. Another way of verifying low mileage is does it have the factory tires still. Factory cheap tires usually last only about 25k miles. In many cases, you can only trust a used car dealer as far as you can see them.
I've bought 2 trucks with super low mileage, payed cash to a private party and got a better deal, using this method.
Even big Dealerships farm out wrecked vehicles to the "Ma and Pop Body shops". So, so many of them do not subscribe to CarFax or others. I had $960 in body damage last year and asked the body shop if it would be reported on CarFax....response was they never waste their time in paperwork to help Carfax. I have run into body shops that "never" report body work.

Depends if you want to dick around with dealing with potential buyers and potential fraud. In addition to checking the mentioned Carvana and Kelley, check with Edmunds too.
Can/would you take the baseplate off? That's a niche addition.

Historically I have had good experiences with CarMax. Last month I sold my 2015 Escape to buy my MaVerick. I got the highest offer from CarMax. Then I went to Edmunds to
you need to remember that if you trade it in you keep the sales tax is Wisconsin. trading would be 5.5% tax on difference.
check values. It asked me if I wanted 3 offers. I said yes. The highest was, you guessed it, Carmax. But this is the kicker, The Edmunds/Carmax offer was 20% higher than the CarMax direct quote. I sold it CarMax for the higher offer. Try Edmunds. It can't hurt.

Just had a great experience with CarMax. They honored their quote on the 24 Mav Lariat Hybrid. In an out in less than an hour. If someone is in the Central Texas area and wants an awesome desert sand truck with 1400 miles and in like new condition keep a watch on their website. It was equipped with full tint including front windshield and brow, moon roof, mud flaps, wheel flares, tail gate dampener, tailgate lettering and Demco flat towing baseplate. Interior has full time 12 volt power socket for electronic toad brake controller. It has never been flat towed.

I used Carmax to get rid of my 57 month old Nissan Frontier when I ordered my Mav back in 2021 , they paid me $1500 MORE than I paid for it new .
For giggles I occasionally check Carmax for my Mavericks value ... XLT , Hybrid ,Moonroof .

Not bad !
At that price I'd break even , minus the sales tax and initial license fee ...

Most body shops don't report to CarFax, but ALL insurance company do!

CarFax is not just accidents...

Not always, wife had a rear in wreck and other party's insurance company asked for 3 damage quotes...got the quotes and was paid the average (middle) quote...but it was not convenient to get repairs done right away...and 6 months later had the repairs done by another body shop so insurance company did not even know who or if the repairs were done. Some states may be different...

Probably do if you file a claim....when I had a fender bender (only 1 in 40 years) for $930 I would not file a claim if it does not exceed around $1,000. In my case 1 accident in 40 years, I have a $1,000 deductible...significant saving on premiums with a $1k deductible. Also depends on costs of vehicles you drive. My main reason for insurance is for protection from the uninsured drivers.

Some state insurance premiums (like Calif and Florida) are going thru the roof due to weather and fires. I have my insurance agent give me 4 or 5 alternatives for deductibles...and $1,000 deductible has saved me thousands in premiums.

I just found out where my 24 Maverick ended up after being sold to Carmax in Austin, TX. Car Max gave me 32,388 and it's been sold to an Infinity dealer in NC. Not a thing wrong with it. Thought it would have been marked up a bit more than $600.
