I read on US forums that 2023 scheduling will start Sept 29th in US. I wonder if Canada is the same and that means that VIN numbers may be released by dealers early October?

Unfortunately, I already have a non refundable deposit down from my 22 order.
No, they are in breach of contract and if pushed will refund.
The contract was they would supply a 2022 Maverick and you would pay for it based on the agreed price. The deposit is a security to ensure you don’t walk without penalty should they complete their end of the contract.
They didn’t.
They couldn’t supply a 2022 Maverick, they can’t supply any year Maverick at the contracted price and it’s likely they can no longer supply the Maverick optioned as ordered.
So they can’t.
My dealer offered my non-refundable deposit back before I even had a chance to ask about it; he stated as long as a VIN is not produced it’s refundable.
Note: if you take the refund any applicable rebate I believe is gone.
That said he still has my money as I’ve submitted my replacement 2023 build info.
Unfortunately I still haven’t had any return communication from them so it’s getting more likely every day that I’ll be getting my money back instead of buying a truck I want and have waited almost a year for (Nov 1, 2021).

I speculate that some people who haven’t heard about the rebate (like me) is the possibility the dealer sold me a truck from his ordered inventory and never converted it to a customer order so no rebate exists…Normally this would never be a thing as Ford would have delivered and you would never know but times are definitely not normal. I think this might be why they haven’t contacted me as I asked about it and they probably have no good way to answer it…
thankfully it will only be frustrating for a few weeks more; either they have the answers or they’re done.

My dealer finally got back to me today regarding ordering a 2023. Just waiting a bit for things to update in Ford's system and I'll ask their support chat to confirm they see my order on their end. It took a few more days than I'd have liked, but glad to not be paying any admin fees or dealer add-ons.

I spoke with a good friend that is a retired attorney. I explained to him what is going on . He said that the first thing people that don't want to reorder should do is , Ask Ford and your dealer for it in writing that they will not be fulfilling there contract with you for your order. When you have that you can demand you deposit be returned in full . Do not under any circumstances give them back your original bill of sale . If they refuse you can then take them to small claims court . A judge will more then likely order them to refund your money. My experience using small claims court is ,as soon as they are served with the paper work they will pay you.

Hello
Has anyone heard any information on private offers for Canadian customers and when the order banks will open here?

Cheers
I live in Victoria, BC and yesterday 22 September 2023 my dealer called me in to change my 2022 XL hybrid Mavrick order over to the 2023 order. He had said that it needed to be done before the end of this week.
I lost the velocity blue that I had wanted and I dumped the spray in bedliner. I am now waiting for the call to change my order over to the 2024.

People are yelling at Ford over the batteries and supply issues, but why not yell at the government?
North America slit their throats letting other countries make everything that at one time we use to export.
Ford did say they were going to make their own batteries and parts. (Good on you Ford)
Now where is my Maverick?

dam 250 bucks more for ciber orange. ug. any work on the packages increase ?? i know the delux package for xlt lost a few items. if the price don't reflect that then I may drop it. i can add butt warmers, and a don't need a heated seat. the inverter can be added as well.

anyone heard is the people who ordered a 2022 like me get a discount like the Us did or are Canada getting the shaft
I asked my dealer about that as I had a 2022 ordered and waiting to go through. He told me that only people who have had a VIN number would have their 2022 price frozen.
As I did not have a VIN number yet I had to pay a $2500.00 fee to jump up to the 2023 and keep my place in line.

I dumped a lot off my 2022 order to speed up my 2023 order. (Again I will not get the exact Maverick that I had wanted) I am not expecting a truck until 2024 at this rate...

I read that most people in the Maverick Club paid a deposit of $500.00, I paid $1,500.00 here in British Columbia.

I think that Ford is only making small batches of trucks and dragging their feet, so that they can keep on bumping prices up and up. At some point the: "The cheap truck for the masses" will be gone and then the price will be the same as the competition. ($46,000.00?) By this point Ford will have all the Mavericks for the people.

Tinfoil hat engaged... lol

Taking the expression "Make hay while the sun is shining" into consideration - it seems to me that Ford would actually want the opposite of what you're theorizing. They have a monopoly on the small truck market right now - the market share is theirs to grab. The Santa Cruz is a distant second to the Maverick. I imagine Ford is actually trying very hard to meet demand here - they just forecasted too low.

Lol! I was just tossing my two cents in as reading most of the "same old" complaints about what is going on, is like listening too my little kids fighting over the same toy.

Maybe you should ask them were you are in the line up . I think they have more orders for 22s then they can fill in 23 . They wont be able to take any new orders. I am kicking my ass ,the day I ordered they had two mavericks sitting on the lot that I could have had my pick of . Dumb me they were not the right color.
