My dealer in Waterloo called me to let me know my truck came in yesterday. Was shocked as I was expecting it to not come until Spring.
Unfortunately, I won't be accepting delivery of the truck due to some life circumstances that have changed. If anyone wants it, I'm sure they will be posting it...
I'm in this boat too. I am buying the Mav because I want a 'do everything' vehicle that is good on gas. Being frustrated with the process, price increases and wait times, I started cross shopping, and let me tell you... the argument for a small SUV that is PHEV is pretty appealing.
I test drove...
The tonneau cover comes installed from the factory - at least that's what my dealer said. Part of the reason the more you add, the longer it takes. I'll likely be waiting a while because i have a moon roof, tonneau cover, mats and the works (lux package, copilot 360 etc).
Tinfoil hat engaged... lol
Taking the expression "Make hay while the sun is shining" into consideration - it seems to me that Ford would actually want the opposite of what you're theorizing. They have a monopoly on the small truck market right now - the market share is theirs to grab. The Santa...
Yep it does fold up all the way against the rear window. As someone who's buying it for home renos and driving my dirtbike around, does 8 inches of space at the top of the bed matter that much?
I guess in the case of the dirtbike, I run the risk of the wheel needing to sit behind the rolled up...
Looking for some wisdom as well... As I'm sure many others on this forum are, I'll be a first-time truck owner, so the first time buying a tonneau cover. I've decided to go with a ford-OEM cover due to a multitude of reasons.
- I've checked out pricing here in Canada, and we have a lot fewer...
No dice - same run around to go back to the dealer. I'll wait a couple months and see if my name pops up, but if not, I'll make a fuss with the dealer and ask for their Ford Canada rep. Give them the whole spiel that this is my first Ford, first truck etc. and we are not starting off on a great...
@GT_Hawk @TdotMav
Called Ford this morning and they can see my order in the system is 'in processing' so it should be completed in the next production run... woohoo!
RE: the $1500 price certificate, the agent I spoke to didn't seem very knowledgeable - they said to look at the website, that I...
I didn't get an order confirmation email (like the american's mentioned) but I'm just going to call Ford tomorrow to ask about the order confirmation and to complain about the $1500 price certificate that wasn't offered to me. I'll report back in!
Update @TorchedTaco @kevram
Just got off the phone with Matt. I ordered my 2022 back in February (on the 24th). Apparently I missed a cut-off date by a few days. Anyone who ordered before mid-February 2022 is getting the $1500 discount.
I do have an 'XPlan' discount through a professional...
Thanks! I just left a voicemail to get to the bottom of it with Matt. Nik my sales guy said he didn't see my name on the list for certificates :/
@TorchedTaco fyi!
Parkway Ford in KW just called me to put in my order. Changed some of my options (XLT Lux hybrid) and signed the paperwork, but I hadn't seen the note about the $1500 holdover for 2022 orders. I ordered Feb 2022, but didn't see anything about $1500 discount on my forms.
Should I call them back...
