It sucks that this has to be my first post, but I'm having a serious problem with my dealer and I don't know what to do about it.

In December I went to the local dealer and ordered a Maverick. They photocopied my ID, entered my order in the computer, and sent me on my way. I knew it would be a slow process, but every two or three weeks I stopped in to check if there was any new information. There never was any. At this point I knew nothing about Ford's processes as I have never placed a special order before.

Then a month ago I find this site and learn about ROVP and the 800-334-4375 number. So I call to confirm that my order is in and processing. I find out that I need a sales code provided by the dealer to talk to anyone. I made three trips to the dealer and each time could only get a six digit order number and not a 4 digit alpha numeric sales code required by the 800 number.

Then I tried to get confirmation from the dealer that the ROVP has been approved. Apparently it has not. The dealer is telling me it's my fault because I didn't respond to an email that was sent. I never received any email requesting any action on my part. (Is this really part of the procedure?) I requested the email be re-sent so that I could reply, but apparently they are having trouble doing that. I was told there was nobody they could call. They told me all they could do is submit a support ticket into some system and they would get a response within 48 hours. That didn't happen either.

Can this order be transferred to a dealer that knows what they're doing?

I really need some help here.

No. Transfers to another dealer are not allowed. I only have seen one person claim to have done it. It's questionable if that actually occurred. But I have seen dozens try and be told it's not possible. I also believe Tim Bartz has said it is not possible.

@Naranjita is correct. They can not be moved.

A reservation in the beginning could be transferred. But once it is placed as an order it can not.

According to Tim Bartz, you cannot change your dealer. With orders being closed your only options are to keep your original order or cancel your order. If you want to change dealer you would have to place a new order, and with orders closed that’s not possible.

Understood.

Is there any way I can contact corporate to complete the ROVP? Is there a time limit on completing the ROVP?

Is there a way to confirm the order with corporate ? At this point I don't even know if I really have one. When I called the 800 number they had my contact info and was able to provide me with a sales code, but couldn't give me the order code.

This is exactly what I have been complaining about I call Ford they say that they have my numbers but will not give them to me I call dealer he gives me sales code I call Ford they say they need order number I storm into to dealer demanding order number with sales force cowering owner supplies number I call Ford they say yes that is an order you will be getting email-Never did. Did get Ford marketing propaganda saying if you order your Ford it will get to you quicker-BS.
Gave up contacting anyone for any info then about three weeks ago got email from dealer saying I was priority 2 whatever that means stopped by dealers (sales people herding into back room) salesman says they were up for 7 Mavericks and got none in Thursday Ford lottery then said that the bare bones hybrid that they had just gotten was ordered in July and came in last week of March.
With all this said and with the internet and phone lines available to communicate with customers on orders Ford gets whatever rating falls below (way below) FAILURE !
In case nobody else has thought about it with the economy what it is interest rates are bound to go up and the value of your trade if you are using it daily is bound to go down resulting in a higher price overall add in price gouging by dealers(hope yours doesn't) and price of vehicle could really increase.
Sorry about the rant but seemed like the place to post it
