I finally gave up on local dealers and emailed Chapman. Either getting no response locally or they are saying they can’t do MSRP and it will be 2-3% over MSRP, not including their ridiculous doc fee. The saving on doc fee alone will cover gas home and my flight to PA.

What about Granger Ford? He's in Iowa, is that closer? He is offering 3% UNDER Invoice. I think his doc fees are $180

I just spoke to my local fleet sales rep, they are doing delivery locally for 200$. No flight to PA, Tom is still my Awesome Sales Dude, 45 minute drive to my local Ford Dealership in Smyrna though. That’s worth $200

I reserved mine with Nelson Ford in Martinsville, VA on June 26. I called Ford CS to ask about my place in line when I ordered. They told me that your place in line starts with the reservation, not the order. So I called the dealer yesterday to see what they wanted for a deposit for my order. They said $1000 to which I said, "ain't happening". I went to Apple Ford in Danville, placed my order with $0 deposit.

BUT--Ford's ridiculous policy says that when you change dealers like that, you lose your original spot. For some crazy reason, they can't transfer the res to another dealer. Danville GM is working to fix that with his Ford rep. Nuts. I should've known not to have dealt with Nelson, a dealer so bad only local rubes that don't know any better patronize them.
