There's no guarantee they'll magically get their shit together and produce the '22s they've provided VINs for. I could see them moving the changeover time back a month and thereby building more '22s. The '23s are not happy then but...........

Or just go to 23 production, and if you had a 22 vin and weren’t built. Sorry.

Ignore him. He has a MY22 VIN and yet every post he makes he questions if he's getting a MY22. It's been explained to him a million times.

I think he, like myself, is just pointing out this is a convoluted effort and the reality is that no scenario at this point can be ruled out. Just talking out loud is all, which is what this forum is really all about.

The most likely scenario is that Ford won't start MY2023 production until the scheduled MY2022s are done. No reason why they wouldn't. By this point Ford should have a good outlook on supplies for the next 2-3 months.

Yes and venting like that is something we all do. The problem is when it becomes overly excessive. Also, VINs are coded to the year. Ford is stupid, we know, but they're not so stupid as to issue VINs for vehicles they cannot build.

You got a VIN, you're getting a 22. You might not get the 22 until early 2023, but you're getting a 22.

Yeah I thought of that too. Like being stuck in the twilight zone between a 22 and 23. I could see Ford being optimistic on this and fouling up those in this situation. Seems like many people got build dates. My build date is 9/26.
I also have the same production date 🤞. Just 360,fx4
