Seriously...still no update on the resolution to this recall?

Yeah that’s what everyone’s thinking. The remedy might not be developed until at least January, February, or March but don’t quote me on that since we are all uncertain. I called Ford and they were no help about this situation.

Since there isn’t a remedy to rectify the problem for the underhood fire and Ford trying to give promises and anticipated dates, the one thing I can advise everyone is YOUR LIFE & SAFETY is the NUMBER ONE PARAMOUNT. The recall letter indirectly explains how you should proceed with the situation. If you obviously see smoke, IMMEDIATELY IMMEDIATELY pull over, call 911, and cut off the engine. That way, you are trying to prevent the worst outcome of your car being on fire, but like I said, it could still happen even if you appropriately do the right thing. If the vehicle gets on fire, do NOT even worry about getting it towed. Get to safety first Number #1 step is the utmost importance before even thinking or worrying about the next steps. I hope this letter helps anyone who is still feeling unease and in hope that we’ll both know when Ford releases a supplemental update to this recall notice.
