Background: 2023 Mav XLT Lux, no copilot 360. MyQ 2.0+ garage door--> Requires HomeLink 4. eBay Gentex mirror from Infinity Q50 (2014-2020) 10 pin plug with harness + HomeLink4 (Model=OBI2HL4) and autodimming.

Read other posts about wiring diagrams and what wires others have used. I initially tried to use the camera harness -- mine were ground=black/blue stripe & 12v accessory=purple/white stripe. I did not want the HomeLink function without key on. Wired both 12v of mirror (pins 6 and 10) to 12v accessory of camera. Everything seemed fine. Then when start truck. Fault in camera - pre-collision assist not available message on dash and in ford pass app. Used T-taps to wire into the camera. Connections were good. Removed my connections, unhooked battery for 30 minutes to clear the camera fault (couldn't get it to clear any other way I had available). Camera working without any fault. Reconnected mirror again, but fault returned only when was dark outside vs daylight (I tried 3-4 different scenarios). Seems the voltage draw on the camera by both the HomeLink and autodim of the mirror together results in camera fault but if the autodim is off (daytime) and only HomeLink is voltage draw, no fault. Ugh...

I originally did not want to use the overhead lights to power the mirror since it is tied to the dimming feature of the dash. If lower dim, then <12v vs if full bright ~14v. So I bit the bullet and for now I am using the overhead light with purple 12v accessory and black ground for the mirror but without any dimming of the dash. Everything works on the mirror as should and was only $27 bucks. I may run my own wires down the pillar to the fuse box down the road to be able to dim my dash, but I'm fine with the way it is for now. Especially no camera fault.

I did not expect the camera to be that sensitive to voltage and treat it as a "fault". Just wanted to put this out there in case anyone else has run into this or not.

I have a Lariat trim and hooked up a Homelink mirror to the overhead lights as instructed by numerous posts on this site. I have had no issues with the mirror related to the self dimming feature and it has worked flawlessly. I would not wish hooking up the front facing camera as it also controls numerous functions related to the Lane keep and lane assist function, traffic sign recognition and others. now if you're talking about the front camera for recording video, which is a separate dealer or customer installed option that's a different story.

To clarify, all Mavericks have a front facing camera behind the windshield. I don't have copilot or lane keep assist. (XLT with Lux) All my camera does is pre-collision assist (applies brakes, audible sounds, and dash flashing red). And yes, I had to tap into the overhead lights to not have any problems with my auto dim mirror + HomeLink. I had saw other posts of the camera being used but it appears it is sensitive to sending 12v on ACC to 3 devices at once. Camera, HomeLink, and Autodim but not 2 devices like Camera + HomeLink or Camera + Autodim. I did not want to have HomeLink on 12v that was not controlled by key position (ACC) or have the Autodim active all the time either to be an additional battery drain source. I just wanted to put this info out there in case someone else runs into same issue.

I have both our 2023 and 2024 Lariats (both with 360 Assist, etc) wired with patch cords in the pre-collision assist unit. @skyhawk made the first one for the 2023; I made the one for the 2024 as well as an identical patch cord for my 2020 Ford Transit RV.
The Transit runs a front/rear dashcam and digital rearview "mirror" as it is an RV. The 2023 runs the Kia homelink-autodim-compass mirror and a USB dashcam with a buck converter; the 2024 runs the Kia mirror and a 12 volt dashcam.

The only time I got a "camera inop" warning was when I had a wire come out of place in my Transit patchcord. Those pins are tiny and all 8 of them need to be in place for a Lariat (and the transit), while only 6 are required for the lower trim.

I suspect something else is your issue.

Heck, I'm running both the KIA Auto-Dimming Home-Link mirror AND my Dashcam from the light feed in the overhead. Only small quirk is occasionally the dashcam restarts when the truck automatically turns the lights on or off with changes in ambient lighting. (I have a small 12v to USB-5V tucked up in the overhead to power the dashcam). The prior dashcam didn't have an issue, however the new one with both GPS and a 2nd rear camera seems to dislikes the fluctuation in the voltage when the lights turn on/off.

I plan to wire the homelink mirror into the sunroof switch, I know not all can do that, but I don't want my homelink to be on just from opening the door. I park in the driveway... And will connect a buck converter to the interior lights for my dashcam.
