I wish all cars had side view cameras that engage when you put on the blinker. Seems like such simple useful info.

Absolutely never had a problem with backing up using rearview mirror and side mirror. One of my vehicles has that tilt stuff got turned off asap.

The backup cameras another one. While you are watching that screen your peripheral vision takes a hit on anything coming from the side.

Its why vehicles have mirrors and humans can rotate their head and move their eyes.

Of course this is just my preference. To each their own,

I've not heard of this, please explain?
It's designed to help with parallel parking.
When a vehicle is put into reverse the side mirrors automatically tip downward to make it easier to see the curb. My 2014 Avalon has this feature and it's nice but I can live without it.

I learned how to parallel park when in drivers training many moons ago. I don't need mirror assist. I don't think this is anything I would need or use.
