Brake hold driving me crazy

How do i turn off the setting that lets your truck not roll while sitting in traffic and how do i turn it off.thought it was active braking but that didnt work.

Push the button on the right side of the console.

On a similar note, I have for years just put the vehicle in gear and touched the throttle to release the electric parking brakes. Never really liked how that felt. Didn't know better.

With your foot on the brake, push DOWN on the parking brake button. Releases completely with no drama!

Plus it has an LED showing it’s active and probably a dash warning signal that it’s activated. My wife had the same complaint but when I showed her she was a little embarrassed.

If brake hold is active when you turn off your truck, it will be active when you turn your truck back on. But if it is inactive when you turn off your truck, it doesn't turn itself back on at startup. It just stays however you last had it (unlike drive modes). Once you deactivate auto brake hold, it should stay that way forever as long as you never push the center console button again.
