Ford absolutely should have been included one, half the fun of having a boosted vehicle is watching the boost gage (just the nerd in be talking). My first was a 64 Corvair Spyder in high school (my have just given a clue to my age there).
Always wanted one of those Corvairs!

What’s interesting about ford and turbos is 95% of the time, the engine is running with 0 boost/vacuum conditions. My F150 with 3.5l 5StarTuning runs maybe 5 lbs or less at 70 miles an hr….at 60 it is 0 or less manifold pressure

I think I had more fun in that car than any before or after. No doubt my standards have subsequently matured and I probably would no longer have the same level of joy in the driving experience. Unless of course it could also magically restore my youth.

Anyone know the max boost level generated by the 2.0 EB in the Maverick? Has anyone installed a vacuum/boost gauge? If so, where/how did you mount it?
Got Torque Pro, thanks to those in this thread that discussed it as an option. Highest logged boost pressure was 16.5 psi in sport mode 15.7 in normal. Readings above 13 psi are common in normal mode with just moderate acceleration. Really haven't found much need for sport mode, may just be my age showing. Turbo appears to be very responsive. Very happy with the 2.0 EB. Not sure I'll even bother with a tune or CAI, unless Ford Performance comes out with something covered by warranty.

To get to 0 manifold pressure, which we can call full open throttle for a NA engine, you would not be at full open with a turbo. You would be at part and yes, the turbo would be operating to overcome throttle and othe intake restrictions to get to 0 manifold pressure. In this state the engine would be producing just a tad more than a normally aspirated engine (which would never reach 0 manifold pressure during operation). The remaining throttle travel is why we install a turbo.

The tricky thing with a turbo is that you can achieve and maintain 0 boost at any given throttle opening as long as the engine load balances engine output RPM would remain constant. In other words, the engine output at constant 0 manifold pressure would be very similar to what you would see on a dyno curve of power vs. RPM for an equivalent NA engine.

Okey-dokey, so what good is boost gauge or are the gauges compensated for?

The boost gage measures "manifold" pressure. That's the only number that matters.

It's Torque Pro with OBDLink LX
I downloaded THIS pid list from Focus RS forum. Half of them don't work. I still haven't got the oil temp to work. It's inferred from water temp anyway. Still cool to play with.
Nice not sure how to load pid's into torque. But have used tourqe with a cheap obd2 Bluetooth connector and got manifold pressure on my F 150. The mx connector is nice but it's like 125 bucks.

You’ll get a fairly responsive turbo when it’s smaller than the average fist lol. The numbers might seem high but 16-20 psi on a peashooter is a night and day difference on something a little bit bigger like a gt30 frame turbo at that boost level.
