Is it time to cancel Explorer?Modules are alive. Truck is built!
Congratulations! I know you have been through quite the odyssey on getting your Mav…..Modules are alive. Truck is built!
Still on the fence. I'm committed through the test drive. Then we'll see.Is it time to cancel Explorer?
Well here's my 2 cents, probably going to get some Panties in a wad. Do not spend $38,000 on a Maverick.Still on the fence. I'm committed through the test drive. Then we'll see.
Yes, but some people enjoy getting from point A to point B more than others. If it's only about getting between points, buy a Corolla and call it a day IMO.Well here's my 2 cents, probably going to get some Panties in a wad. Do not spend $38,000 on a Maverick.
Keep the Explorer, Thats the Prudent thing to do.
I'v had my XLT Eco for 6 months, $25,000 is what they are worth. At the end of the day it's only about getting from point A to B.
yep, he wildly oversimplified the many use cases for the Maverick. the hybrid can be a great commuter and the obvious reason to choose it over a prius or another hybrid compact car is the bed. if you don't use the bed, you don't really need it but you still might want it, perhaps appearance or cost (if buying at MSRP).Yes, but some people enjoy getting from point A to point B more than others. And that's why I chose mine. The ability to to some light overlanding with my wife has both of us excited. I work from home so I don't even commute, but the Maverick is showing to be a decent small overlanding rig. We haven't camped since we moved to Florida 7 years ago and really miss it.yep, he wildly oversimplified the many use cases for the Maverick. the hybrid can be a great commuter and the obvious reason to choose it over a prius or another hybrid compact car is the bed. if you don't use the bed, you don't really need it but you still might want it, perhaps appearance or cost (if buying at MSRP).
the ecoboost awd versions are, in my opinion, much more versatile. they can tow more, go faster, go into light off-road trails, and still get very good gas mileage compared to any larger truck.
Bob did you see this?Still on the fence. I'm committed through the test drive. Then we'll see.
What’s the 156/1169? 156 the Julian day?Window sticker is live! See top post. Still on track for June 6 build date.
Build 156/1169
As I said about the Maverick, a new vehicle is too new to accurately gauge long-term reliability. Also, unreliable blog sourcing an unreliable testing agency is not going to sway my opinion.
Consumer Reports has a long standing reputation of not liking Ford's even when they are reliable. As I said about the Maverick, a new vehicle is too new to accurately gauge long-term reliability. Also, unreliable blog sourcing an unreliable testing agency is not going to sway my opinion.
I specifically like this part:
the 2023 Ford Explorer has a predicted reliability score of just one out of five, though there are no specific reliability trouble spots to note, as the vehicle is too new at this point.
"It sucks. But we have no evidence why."
Also, I would rate my satisfaction at 0 right now, but that is more a Ford problem than an Explorer problem.
