Basically means the on board computer system is active, I think.

Modules are alive. Truck is built!
Congratulations! I know you have been through quite the odyssey on getting your Mav…..

I guess everyone’s experience is a bit different, but mine was built on 4/23, not shipped until 5/2, and just arrived at my dealer TODAY!! (Check the Atlas Blue Club Thread for official update.).

I plan on closing the deal and taking delivery tomorrow morning. So….. plan on about six weeks from built to delivery; hopefully you’ll gets yours sooner.

Still on the fence. I'm committed through the test drive. Then we'll see.
Well here's my 2 cents, probably going to get some Panties in a wad. Do not spend $38,000 on a Maverick.
Keep the Explorer, Thats the Prudent thing to do.

I'v had my XLT Eco for 6 months, $25,000 is what they are worth. At the end of the day it's only about getting from point A to B.

Yes, but some people enjoy getting from point A to point B more than others. If it's only about getting between points, buy a Corolla and call it a day IMO.

yep, he wildly oversimplified the many use cases for the Maverick. the hybrid can be a great commuter and the obvious reason to choose it over a prius or another hybrid compact car is the bed. if you don't use the bed, you don't really need it but you still might want it, perhaps appearance or cost (if buying at MSRP).

the ecoboost awd versions are, in my opinion, much more versatile. they can tow more, go faster, go into light off-road trails, and still get very good gas mileage compared to any larger truck.

And that's why I chose mine. The ability to to some light overlanding with my wife has both of us excited. I work from home so I don't even commute, but the Maverick is showing to be a decent small overlanding rig. We haven't camped since we moved to Florida 7 years ago and really miss it.

As I said about the Maverick, a new vehicle is too new to accurately gauge long-term reliability. Also, unreliable blog sourcing an unreliable testing agency is not going to sway my opinion.

I specifically like this part:
the 2023 Ford Explorer has a predicted reliability score of just one out of five, though there are no specific reliability trouble spots to note, as the vehicle is too new at this point.

"It sucks. But we have no evidence why."

Also, I would rate my satisfaction at 0 right now, but that is more a Ford problem than an Explorer problem.

Consumer Reports has a long standing reputation of not liking Ford's even when they are reliable.

In further evidence my truck is built, it popped up on my dealer's website. VIN matches. Definitely explains some of what I have seen on their page versus what is on their lot as the truck hasn't even shipped yet.

I just spent a week doing summer camp with the Boy Scouts (whole reason I needed the truck) so I wasn't able to obsess over its status but it does appear to be built and awaiting shipment. That said, having the loaner F-150 was convenient. So, if there was any consequence to my impatience and buying the Explorer as well as Ford's slow recall process, I can at least say that.

At this point, I'm indifferent as to which one I keep. Once the Maverick comes in, I'll test drive it and see what the dealership can do on the offer depending on my Explorer status at that time. But I'm not going to emotionally married to it if it doesn't work.

Given the Maverick popped on my dealership's website just today and already has over a half-dozen views, I suspect it won't sit on the lot long either way.
