You shouldn't have any problem. There's numerous other threads on boat launching. A few at the bottom of this thread under "similar threads"

With our 4k hybrid I launched and pulled a 21' 4000 lb ponton out of lakes several times without even a ramp ... Just out the sand bottom and going onto a sandy, rocky beach. No problem

PS if you unplug the trailer harness before backing the trailer into the water, the truck will give you rear collision alerts and slam on the brakes from detecting the trailer
You have to disable rear collision assist (or whatever it's called) first

I have a 2025 XLT ecoboost 2.0 with AWD and the 4K tow package. I also have a 21’ aluminum Jon boat on a trailer.

In the past I have always used my F150 for the task. I cannot drive the F150 anymore which is why I bought the Maverick.

The docs did my knees back in the spring. Since then, it is much too painful for me to drive the F150. It has a stick shift.

The boat ramp I use is sort of steep, but useable. Many people use it all the time.

I imagine that the Maverick will have zero problems with this task, but I don’t know how good All Wheel Drive will be for this task. AWD isn’t as good as four wheel drive would be. There is no low range to put it in when pulling a boat out.

There is a low range...hence the "L" on the shifter dial. Find a road or steep hill to try it out. How much does the boat and trailer weigh ?? I'm pretty sure if you're not pulling a 4,000 boat that it will be able to handle the hill...provided it is not mud, sand, loose gravel...all the bad stuff that makes it "slick".

And as you see in th epost above it will do a 4,000lb boat

2025 AWD Hybrid
I've had absolutely no problem launching two 100 pound fishing kayaks from boat ramps. Sometimes, if the ramp is busy, I just back down the shoreline. Again, no problem. I've never even had to use low gear.

Our maverick handles our 3100 lb, 19 ft deck boat just fine.

I'll add, based on your response, you have no idea what a boat ramp is. 'Slick' is the perfect description of a boat ramp.

I have a 2024 eco boost 2.0 AWD. I just used it to launch and load a 1988 SeaRay on a gravel ramp and the SeaRay is 2100 lbs. I have done this several times. Not a problem.

That's hilarious and my hybrid does fine , front wheel drive means I'm on dryer more grippy area of the ramp as opposed to rear wheel drive in water or mud... you'll have no problem... remember to put the plug in your boat

I was wondering how fwd did on the ramp. Figured it’d be better then my RWD trucks which never had a problem either.

Hybrids don't have a low gear.

The L button is only for slowing down.
The L basically doubles regen and/or engine brake. Does not help for "pulling".

Just wanted to clarify.

Yes. No problems at all with AWD & 4K tow package. Boat & trailer weigh just over 3,800 lbs loaded.
