Bluetooth not playing audio

Has anyone had this issue and how to fix? Apple CarPlay works fine but Bluetooth is not playing music. However, it connects and can do phone calls over Bluetooth.

While connected, it acts like no audio device is connected

Try on your Bluetooth see if you have list for ford maverick deted it rescan it see if they will help

THe Apple carplay is by USB cable isn't it, so that would be no indication of Bluetooth connected or not.

Ensure the bluetooth device(phone) is paired to the head unit.

You can't play bluetooth music while you are connected to apple carplay/android auto.

Does the bluetooth audio work if you don't have it plugged in and connected to apple carplay?

I'm not familiar with iOS but it does have separate permissions for what features Bluetooth devices/connections can utilize? On Android you can specifically allow just phone calls and/or media playback. I'd check both are enabled.

I got that, but the message says no device is connected, so I was questioning whether or not you paired the device, VIA bluetooth, to the head unit , and as Darnon said, it may be a permission issue.

Yes, it is paired. It was working fine then just stopped. I tried resetting connection. Restarting phone and truck. Nothing is working yet

Update: i started my truck up after work and now it is working for some reason

I'm having the same problem. I can go days without the issue and then all of a sudden it won't play music via Bluetooth. Normally if I walk away for a while, the next time I get in it's fine. This time not so lucky. I have restarted my truck, phone, unpaired them with and without the truck running, restarted my phone and nothing.
