Does anyone else think the light in the mirror is a little late to actually light up?
My 2024 lights always pop up before a vehicle is in my blind spot and then a little after once a vehicle is a certain space out of my blind spot

Have any of you actually owned a vehicle that does this? If not you find out real quick how annoying it can be.

My GMC Acadia Denali has BSM in the mirror and also made a beeping sound.
I hated it and immediately turned off the beeping sound because every freaking time someone passed me that stupid beep would go off.

Driving around town or in heavy traffic on the highway/interstate was so bad. The stupid thing beeped at me every 10 seconds.
I've never been a fan of GM products and if this is true than it only reinforces my lifelong belief that their vehicles are vastly inferior to the competition. My previous vehicle was a Kia Sportage and the Blind Spot warning had an audible tone that worked flawlessly. It only beeped if the blind spot was occupied AND the turn signal was activated and I found it to be very helpful. Yes I of course look over my shoulder as well as check my mirrors but it's still possible to miss something in your blindspot and the audible tone was an extra layer of safety.

Yes it was super annoying especially in heavy traffic. Thankfully they had the option to turn it off. This was an older 2014 Acadia so hopefully GMC has refined how their system works.
