There are several members here that have the black decal on the hood…. Aka the black ribbon on the bonnet (Georgia, really?).
Anyone with that “stripe” reading this post!
I do. It's the dual black stripe that comes with the Black Appearance Package (BAP). You can (kinda) see them here:

Get your cataracts fixed,
I have a small black pillow I set on the dash.
I move as needed, blocks the reflection perfectly.

I know your pain. Have the same issue. My Mav is silver. You get the visor set, But then get blasted by the reflection off the hood. Etsy has a lot of options for hood decals. Most of them just cover the center of the hood. Local wrap shops can cover either center or the entire hood. I like both options. Just not sure I want a completely blacked out hood. Was hoping our awesome fellow Mav owners have any experience with either. Til then I’ll just keep driving by Braille, using the lane dividers..
Wrap is now installed, it's mid day here but I'll be testing it later today. Full bonnet cover.

I have the BAP and have never noticed glare off the hood. As others have mentioned, it may be your seating height & position. I'm 5'11" and have the seat as low as possible.

My luck heading east the AM and west in the PM I get hit with multiple sun reflections off bonnet. What's your experience with matt or satin wrap for bonnet?
Happened to me for the first time in many decades of driving with polarized lenses.

Particular time of day at particular angle - but completely blinded. Had to come to a stop and look out the side window.

My solution was the Air Design hood scoop.
Totally eliminated the glare - so I consider it a “functional” scoop.

Painted it Velocity Blue with a Black Center - does not reflect at all compared to OEM. Here is pic before paint & attachment:

Full bonnet wrap. I can't say I'm thrilled about the look. It kinda matches the tonneau cover. But I also think it is function over form. If this helps dissipate the glare it will be well worth it.

Thank you for the picture.
Not a doubt in my mind it works👍

Take care,
GB
I like the look that @RLmesc posted. Glen's idea looks like you had to replace the hood with something you found at the wrecking yard. (No offense, Glen.)

None taken, it's not my hood. Even the OP is not crazy about it. As he said it's function over form.
All I did was answer his specific question.
I did not offer anything outside of answering his question.
As a matter of fact I waited until page 2 post #24 to see if anybody would actually answer his question directly.
@Geppetto asked.

Having been in that industry for the last seven years. I felt I could answer that question pretty confidently.

I knew you wouldn't be, but just wanted to post a disclaimer for the benefit of others.

That could be illegal in some states. Not that law enforcement has this at the top of their priority list.
I put the max legal film on my windshield. Blocks UV light to reduce heat - but visible light is unaffected. My hood’s glare shot right through my polarized sun glasses
😎

I’d be better off if I let my hood get dusty instead of keeping it waxed & shiny bright!
