My luck heading east the AM and west in the PM I get hit with multiple sun reflections off bonnet. What's your experience with matt or satin wrap for bonnet?

Realizing this answer has nothing to do with OP's original question, but polarized (prescription) sunglasses works wonder on my Mav's dashboard glare. No need for any covering or anything like that.

Seating position may affect how it hits you. I’ve seen black Matt decals on the hood that could help. Or don’t wash your bonnet
I remember route 2 in MA has a straight section with a small incline that (at certain times of the year) wouldn’t need the bonnet to totally blind you.

Reflections are coming from bonnet, not the dash. Glare off dash, to me, is non-existent. Glare is not dependent on season, if the sun is low in morning or evening and I'm driving towards it, the reflection off bonnet is very irritating. As sun gets higher I'm hit with both direct sunlight and reflected sunlight. Visor can block sun when higher but obviously not the lower reflections.

Reflection off the what?
What Is a Car Bonnet: Definition and Purpose
A car bonnet is the hinged metal cover that protects the engine compartment at the front of a vehicle. In American English, this component is commonly called a “hood,” while British English and most Commonwealth countries use the term “bonnet.” This protective panel serves multiple critical functions in a vehicle’s design and operation.

The primary purpose of a car bonnet is to shield the engine and other vital components from external elements such as rain, snow, dust, and debris. It creates a protective barrier that helps prevent premature wear and damage to the engine parts. Also, the bonnet contributes to the vehicle’s aerodynamic profile, reducing drag and improving fuel efficiency at higher speeds.

If you're talking the strip at top of windscreen, that won't help. If you're talking the entire windscreen, I'm not sure that is even legal. And is not a viable alternative to me.

The whole windshield

Tips to Reduce Windshield Glare
Keep the Glass Clean
  • Regular Cleaning: Clean both the inside and outside of your windshield frequently. Dirt, dust, and haze can significantly increase glare.
  • Cleaning Products: Use a quality automotive glass cleaner and microfiber towels for the best results. Consider using rubbing alcohol for stubborn films.
Use Anti-Reflective Solutions
  • Anti-Reflective Film: Install glare-reducing or anti-reflective film on your windshield. This film can help minimize reflections from headlights and sunlight.
  • Additional Tips
  • Check Wiper Blades: Ensure your wiper blades are in good condition. Worn blades can leave streaks that catch light and create glare.
  • Adjust Dashboard Brightness: Lower the brightness of your dashboard and infotainment system at night to reduce glare from these sources.
  • Use Sunglasses: Invest in polarized sunglasses to help reduce glare while driving.
By following these tips, you can significantly improve visibility and safety while driving.

There are several members here that have the black decal on the hood…. Aka the black ribbon on the bonnet (Georgia, really?).
Anyone with that “stripe” reading this post!
