First of all I completely understand this is a budget truck and I’m not mad that the truck comes with cheap plastic. That’s what I expected, paid for and received. The plastic trim in general on the Maverick does what it’s supposed to do at the most basic level and the most basic price. I’m happy with what I got… and I’m one of the idiots who got a Lariat.

That being said, I’ve noticed the black trim on the side rails of the bed kind of “waves” in and out and looks funky. Are there any after market trim pieces to replace/upgrade them with? I’d be willing to pay a bit more to have solid bed rails.

Related side note:
Other Lariat B&O owners, have you noticed the center dash speaker grill doesn’t fit flush with the dash? It seems like it’s not snapped in all the way but it is. And are there any fixes for it? I’ve owned two Mavericks and they are both the same way so I doubt it’s a one off defect

2023 Lariat Lux hybrid. Don't see any waving on the side rails. Center speaker is flush in the dash.

Why, if a buyer wanted the more luxury model with all of the extras from the factory, do you call them "idiots".

I was going to mount my keyless entry pad on the trim behind the rear window, but couldn't find a spot flat enough. It is probably covering a spot weld, it is the same on both sides. I did read that they made it easy to replace.

I'm an idiot for buying a lariat? Dang, I thought I was an idiot for other reasons. I'm going to go sit in the corner, pout, and do some idiot stuff.

Another Lariat Idiot and I do have slight waves in my bed rails and a slight rise in the B&O speaker cover in the center rear of the cover, rear being away from the windshield.

Please post a picture of your wavy rails. I do remember seeing another thread awhile back where tonneau covers and very hot temperatures were causing similar issues for some folks.

I don’t see any wavyness on my bed trim but I do have this. Didn’t notice it at all until you pointed it out though
