I am the type of person that likes to keep the very bright overhead interior lights off as much as possible. Just because I find they ruin ones night vision just before exiting the vehicle. Because of that I have been adding less bright lighting in critical areas using the DIY glove box light as a blueprint.

The light output is better than it appears in the picture. It would be sufficient to remove the jack in the dark on the side of the road without ruining my night vision.

I also added underseat storage lights using the KIA/Hyundai switch and Ford Expedition cargo lights. I can provide more pictures and part #s if anyone is interested.

Good ideas and nice job. Clarification on where/how you tapped power for the lights would be appreciated.

I added a circuit using a fuse tap at the BCM, tapping one of the "hot all times" spare fuse locations and the ground point under the passenger footwell scuff plate trim. Search "dashcam DIY" for details on tapping the BCM.
Then I ran that circuit to several locations. Glove box, center console, under seat and behind the rear seat. I used a Hyundai glove box light switch to operate the lights at each location. Search "glove box light DIY" or "center console light DIY" for more details on the switch circuit.
If I had to do it again I would probably use a 12v power point tap harness and tap the 12v outlet in the center console: https://www.4dtech.com/12v-pnp-power-accessory-harness/

As it is, I could potentially drain my battery if I left my glove box open for several days. With the power point tap the lights would time out at about 90 minutes after ignition off. I may still go back and change to the harness tap.
