Bed Utility Package Discount Question

Hi All,

I have a CG Hybrid XLT with Lux Package coming in the next few months and as I was reviewing my DORA I noticed that when the Bed Utility Package was added there were additional pieces added. I wanted the spray in bedliner, rails but they added the 6 D Link Bed Connectors.

Spray in bedliner - $495
Cargo Management System - $335
6 D-Link Bed Connectors - $225
Discount - $225

The discount - per ford's discount program was 96G and 61D. This is the Spray in Bed Liner and the Bed Tie Down Locking Rails w/ 2 Locking Brackets.

From my opinion, it seems that my dealer added extra on to my order and then discounted the wrong item or this order update opportunity is offering the wrong item.

Can someone help provide context that knows this stuff?

The 6 D-LINK BED CONNECTORS are the cargo rails and you're getting the discount for it. The Cargo Management System should not be needed.

Do you have any insights on what the cargo management system is then? When I go to the Ford site, it shows the rails.

That is why I came here to understand what is actually part of that discount and what is the add on. The pictures of the items are not clear to understand what is what.

I have an ask out to the dealer about that because if that is the case then I rather they don't charge me to install those crossbar rails. It seems my sales person doesn't know what is what and is defaulting to their GM for clarification but that doesn't mean they are right.

The rail/cleat system naming has caused some confusion for some dealers when they added the 2 cleat/rail set for free with the spray in bedliner. The 6 D link connectors is a confusing name for the rails/cleats since it isn't on the price list or order guide, if that is what it is.

The $335 Cargo management is two cross rails that the dealer clicks into the rails.

The $335 is the cost of the crossrails, which will be shipped separately to your dealer. They may or may not actually be clicked into place. They should be provided with the vehicle.

I did order the SIBL, but did not order the 6D and on the tracking page under packages it shows

The picture of my truck does show the rails, do they now automatically add the rails with the SIBL?

I just went to Amazon and got these polished stainless steel 8mm threaded eye bolts with 175 lb

grade rating. They work great and are easily moved to any of the 4 mounting points on each side of the bed where the Ford Locking Rails would attach. I put a rubber washer on it to help hold it and so it would not mare the paint. They work great on my 2023 XLT Hybrid.

I wouldn't tighten them to their 175lb rating that way though, I'm relatively sure that would deform the metal surrounding the bolts.

175 lbs is the load rate, not a torque spec. I just hand tighten mine with the rubber washer so it will not back off. Also, if you have something hooked through the eye it will not move but about a 1/4 turn. If your needing something that will carry over 175lb rating in a Maverick, you've probable over loaded it and need a bigger truck.

Agreed. I have mis-stated what I meant; if you load those eye bolts to their 175lb rating you will probably deform the inside of your bed. At least near the eye bolts. I forget the rating of the rails, but it should be the sum of each of the mounting holes.
