I just received my Maverick and I have a drop in bed liner however the bed liner cover the bed cubbies. I purchased some for the bed but has anyone cut the bedliner or do I need to take it to Ford and have them do it. The salesman thought it was odd and had never seen it but wasn’t sure what to do.

You can do it with a jigsaw, but it really should be done before the install.

He should, they closed off an advertised option. If they covered over the fuel door or tailgate they'd have to fix it.

Thank you, I am going to ask because my salesman had no idea there was something back there until I asked him what that wiring thing was. I would rather they do it and if it messes up it’s in them. Thank you for responding I appreciate it

I bought the drop in when I purchased the truck. Dealer had to order it, so install was a day or three later. They had a shop helper install it, and the kid almost knew what he was doing. Covered the cubbies so when I got home, removed the the right side and cut out cubby with a jig saw. Wish I had brought it home in the box and installed it myself. I do better work. I have not cut out the left side yet. I may buy another drop in cubby and install myself. It's not that difficult.

I cut a bed liner with a Rotozip with a sabercut bit. First marked it with a silver Sharpie and then taped well around the area. I had a lot of practice with the Rotozip beforehand, cutting slots in PVC fenceposts for a property.

Has anyone removed the cubbies before installing the liner and installed them on the outside so it looks cleaner, having the factory cubby trim visible instead of a (bad, probably) cut? I'm thinking I might try that.
