at least you have your truck , we bought a new 2024 xlt hybrid in November last year and still don’t have the truck because of the “ safety” recall. We are making payments on a truck we don’t have and the dealer won’t release it . The dealer we bought from is starting to collect maverick trucks that are brought in for service and gets caught up in the recall crap . To me just disconnect the stupid camera till the fix becomes available, but they won’t do that . We argued about it they won’t take it back because to them it’s used but has never been off the lot except for our test drive , there is even a title yet because they haven’t processed the truck through the system. I grew up with Ford trucks and cars but this crap with this maverick truck is like poop icing on happy memories. We are waiting for this to be done , we liked the truck and design of it just not the crap Ford is doing on this recall…. Just fixed to stupid thing or remove it , I want my truck .
I'm kinda in the same boat. I signed papers on mine over a month ago, they told me that the problem should be fixed in a week so I went ahead and got insurance on it and I've setup the ford pass on my phone. A week ago I was checking out their website and found my Maverick with matching VIN number on sale for $5,532.00 less than what I was having to pay. I sent my sales man a picture and asked him what's up with this, he texted me back saying that his boss said that couldn't find and it must be a mistake 😒.

If you already purchased your truck, I don’t think they can hold it. Even if it’s a safety recall. The only time they can hold it is if it hasn’t been sold yet. That’s what my dealer told me anyway.

Contact an attorney to pursue lemon law. Make Ford buy it back.
I have contacted an attorney about battery issues and will sign a retainer at end of April/ 1st quarter of 2025 if they don't have a fix for SSM #53087. Parasitic voltage draw that kills the battery over time.

Another possible recall of a known 3 year old issue.

I have something similar on the website, but nothing showing in Fordpass?
"action is required", no clue what that means?

I just got an email about "Ford Dashboard" which I hadn't even looked at till just now and mine looks exactly like this (I even have roughly the same mileage and oil life). When I click on "schedule service", it goes to a page with a disclaimer to read and nothing else. I'm guessing its yet another website glitch/bug.

Have not been on the Ford web site for a while and was surprised to see this. I know I have an open recall which has no solution at this time (camera), but no idea why they are telling me to take it to a dealer immediately. The boxes below show no alerts? Anybody seen this before or have an idea what's up?

Ok, just stop thinking Ford is a tech company. Stop using the Ford Pass App. Stop giving them your data. Turn off the truck wifi, undo your CarPlay. You will feel so much better being clueless and disconnected.

Go for the class action suit.

I don't use the app but do occasionally log into the ford site on my PC. I agree with you about disconnecting the truck, which I have done. Next step is pulling fuse #11.

I wonder if I should put fuse 11 back in before I get the recall done for the backup camera?

I have a 2023 Ford Maverick (26-mos. old and 32K miles). I am on my fourth battery, third complaint case to Big Ford, second dealership, and a partridge in a pear tree! Definitely awaiting for the SSM 53087 software fix which my original dealer would not acknowledge/look up.

My question is whether numerous 12v power resets and battery monitor sensor resets will have longer term effects on starter, alternator, electronic chips or...dare I say... the hybrid battery. I don't know, but my vehicle is already to many miles for a buy back, but would love to negotiate a longer warranty period on the 3 year, 36,000 related parts- which is fast approaching for me.

This slow battery drain kills the batteries as dead as can be! What else might it effect when rests (like a power surge) comes back? I frankly don't know. But I have had a power window switch go bad as well as the TCU (Ford Pass connectivity(?)) unit replaced. I see comments about disconnecting Ford Pass and fuse 11 which I don't understand how they are related to the battery issue.

Don't forget to wrap the Maverick in tin foil too! It stops the mind control waves form Starlink!
Exactly. Turn off all the stupid alerts and disconnect your phone from CarPlay or android auto you will be much happier. If your vehicle has a problem it’s gonna tell you it has a problem right there on the dashboard. As far as you having all these battery problems perhaps it’s time to invoke your states lemon law with all these visits and problems you’re having?

Yes, I started a case with the BBB. We will see.

Don't diconnect anything or wrap in fou

Get yourself an attorney. Keep all service records. Don't pull fuses, don't alter anything in the vehicle, don't wear a foil hat, don't shut down apps. Take screen shots of app notifications, take photos with dates any notifications on your dash or infotainment screen. Time to build a case and keep records of everything. If you bought a battery keep receipts

I've contacted an attorney on the same issue and was waiting until the first quarter to see if any solution would come about. I now have one signed papers and have one on retainer. They should have an agreement that states their cost will be paid by the Automaker. Mine has such low mileage with the issues that there probably won't be any depreciation. Full paid cost settlement. We'll see.

I got more info today after calling around. After talking to NHTSA, I was told to also file a complaint with the FTC. Also file complaint with the BBB and your states attorney generals office.
NHTSA and the FTC may not take action unless there are multiple complaints. Safety issues are different. Basically by continually saying there will be a fix and making you pay for anything related to the issue when out of warranty can be fraud.
