Bad Luck Truck

Despite my love for this truck, the past year has not been fun dealing with excess brake noise and wear. After 4 dealer visits, I finally got the front hub bearings replaced due to excess run-out on the hubs

Feeling happy again, I wrapped the hood last weekend...did a pretty good job for my first try. Planning to do the rest of the truck soon...

then I hit a deer this morning...so the truck will be gone for a while for repairs. Was able to drive home since the rad stayed intact. Feel bad for the deer...wish I had time to react.

Glad you weren't hurt but that sucks for your truck and the deer! I once hit two deer about 20 minutes apart. At least now you could get the new hood in black if you wanted to.

Or good luck depending on how you look at it, you ever see a deer go through a windshield? If calling insurance was the worst thing that happened, IMHO you lucked out. Could of been so much worse.

It's not unusual on my driveway, which is on a steep slop, to have a deer jump OVER my hood from upslope to downslope. Once had a deer miss the landing and faceplant. But it got up and moved on. I'd take up deer hunting, but I hate the taste of venison.

Oh man, so sorry about your truck. That dash cam video is awful to watch. That deer came out of no where quick. These freaking deer are causing havoc with Mavericks!
