It's nothing new. Ecoboost owners had their fair share of battery problems from the beginning.

That said,
I wonder if the dealership took the time to charge the new battery and do the full 8 hour relearn cycle?
Or was it a slap it in and go?🤷‍♂️

Parasitic draws can happen to any vehicle.

You got one.

You have Adaptive Cruise Control?
Then you have EBB - so the system can engage the brakes with no brake pedal.

You have EPB - so it has to calibrate distance from time to time.
That one hits the hybrid - I'm betting same module programming for EB. So same potential probably exists.

Do you lock your vehicle overnight? Specifically after that new battery?

My 2024 battery died last night, just hit 2 years old and 14,000 miles. So upsetting! Had to jump it to get home. This is too short for a battery life on a brand new vehicle. My last vehicle went 7 years, never needed a new battery before I sold it!! Please let us know what the actual problem is, if they can figure it out

Well - for many modern vehicles, forget those old figures that just don't seem to apply anymore.

4-5 years if you drive it enough.

7k yearly for you - doesn't sound like much time driving. How many days in a row is it sitting without being turned on?
How long are the average drives?

I drive 5 - 6 days a week 25 miles round trip.
So maybe 15 min x 2 drives daily.
Should be enough to recharge normal discharge. (beats a lot of start/stop drains on the battery - oh wait....)
Well, if the EB follows a similar strategy to the hybrid, where by 15 min it has usually dropped to a float charge anyway, you got the majority of what it's going to get by your drives, especially if NOT city driving.

So maybe you had a few but frequent enough parasitic drains during that time, it just lowered the voltage to point it couldn't recover enough, and sulphated too much.

Or you got a substandard OEM battery. Sadly not unheard of either. (shoot, get that with a new one off the shelf sometimes)

Do you know how good/bad your AT&T wireless signal is, where the truck parks for long periods?

The drive is 22-40 minutes one way depending on traffic, it's mostly highway. I have att, no issues with coverage at home or away. It's Albuquerque, no dead zones unless beyond city limits. I think the lights stay on too long when you open and close the door. I disabled the dome light, never use it, but the bed light and all driving lights come on and I've thought it'll drain the battery. Having been mindful from the getgo, it's likely a less than stellar battery. I would like to know how long the original battery has lasted for other owners.

Wow - may be highway, but 22-40 min for 12 miles isn't highway speed.
Doesn't matter since it's about time, and that should long enough.

Ya - the defaults for lights are a tad long, or power ports.
Likely not great battery.

Ok, back to request for other average EB battery ages.
