I'd say that would only work with front wheels off the ground as in dolly towing.

I would be concerned that the Maverick would not stay in the neutral tow mode or that the parking brake would come on. Either when the battery was disconnected or after a time frame. One way to partially check would be to chock the wheels on the Maverick, put it in neutral tow mode and disconnect the battery. move the chocks so that you have about a foot of space for free rolling. If it won't freely roll then the parking brake came on or it reverted to park. Then you cannot disconnect the battery. If it rolls freely, secure the vehicle and try again in about an hour, if it still rolls freely then you MAY be able to tow with the battery disconnected.
If you are just concerned with the Maverick 12v battery dying, we added a 12v charge line in the umbilico cord from the MH to the towed (CRV in our case) Add wiring from the connector at the front of your Maverick to the battery connection posts under the hood. fuse or circuit break close the 12v post to protect the Maverick. Then it is just one connection to plug in. After adding this we never had any more problems with a dead battery. The CRV battery was even worse that the worst reports of Maverick problems.
