I also had both my front cv axles replaced under warranty. I have the rough country lift and 245/70/17 bfg's. First one just started slinging grease everywhere, due to what appeared to be road debris damage. The 2nd, drivers side, was replaced due to the same issue as mentioned in this thread. The joint was binding and causing a helluva vibration under acceleration. My dealer gave me NO issues with replacing either at 6 months apart.

You got warranty even though you changed the CV angles with the lift kit and warranty for rock damage? Both of those should have voided the warranty, so how does that work?

i have a 22 mav hybrid xlt and notice a wheel skip/hop/shake when im turning left and hit 30-35km/h

waiting to put oem rims back on with winter tires before i take it in in case they want to blame the aftermarket rims

and if anyone is curious - the part numbers i see for hybrid axles are:
NZ6Z3B437B(left) and NZ6Z3B436C (right)

I guess I'm just lucky.
The lift or anything didn't even come up.
Happy to say I won for once.

So is ford just going to let this issue run wild or will they address and release an updated design?

We need someone who can access the dealer part catalog (assuming it's more detailed) and see if any revision part #s are available.

At this rate we are all going to be needing a set.
In my experience with a few Fords I've owned Ford will not update the axles. They will replace them under warranty and after warranty is up you will have to pay out of pocket.
My experience:
1999 Ford Windstar, faulty ABS circuit boards, rust prone front sub frame and rear axle assembly. Head gasket leak on 3.8 engine.
2002 Ford Focus, split port engine dropped valve seats.

I don't remember a single post of axel problems, with either engine option, on an unmodified truck.

I am maybe wrong, but am very inclined to say the problem rate is insignificant.

I have seen some stock trucks either issues, mod just make it worse

update on mine - the winter wheels went on and the issue was still there
took it into ford and they confirmed bad cv axle - luckily they ordered both and will be replacing both
they said truck is safe to drive so i am using it and just waiting for parts to come in now

edit - truck has 36,700kms (22k miles) - kinda sad to see axles failing already

I am still in the same situation although, my Maverick shakes so much it isn't safe to drive unless I drive under 30 MPH. I am waiting on the left axle.

Still no word on my back ordered front axles. My dealership could not possibly be less concerned with this issue.

You would unfortunately be incorrect, stock unmodified suspension and I had both front half shafts replaced under warranty earlier this year.

Good afternoon. Could you please send over a message with some more details on your situation along with your VIN and the name/location of the Ford dealer you are working with? I would like to see what I can do to assist.

It probably won't make anyone feel better, but my MY2024 EB AWD driver side axle failed at 7k miles with only 245/65/17 tires.
