Not the OP but for me the screen on the dash is not bright enough even with it on full brightness in the settings so with bright sunshine coming in through the front windshield it is hard to make out what is shown from the backup camera.

I have the two visors down and a 5% Limo tint strip on the top of the windshield and even shading my eyes the screen is just too dim to clearly see what is being shown.

Working on it, can't slip anything behind , nothing but rim to attach to.

sunscreen has been known to damage sunglasses, fabrics, automotive finish, metals, and other plastics.

My advice to you and the OP.

Go see a vision specialist. Or take off your sunglasses.

I have no tint, and no issues whatsoever. Live in Floriduh.

Look in the rearview mirror or turn and look over your shoulder. Back up cameras are nice, but not totally necessary since you can just look directly.

I go to a vision specialist yearly. No issues.

Or take off your sunglasses.

My sunglasses are off and the screen is still way too dim.

I get a little glare on mine in the morning. Are you getting it at all times and locations? I think the camera is Ford keeping the Mav cost down.

I've read too many complaints about the backup camera so possibly I will just be taking it into Ford possibly there is a problem with some of them.

Makes me wonder if you could just sub in a better camera. They aren't that expensive.
