Back Seat Won't Raise

Has anyone else had this problem. No matter how hard either strap is pulled the seat won't raise to access storage. It goes up 3" and that's it. None of my F-150's had the strap, you just raised the seat and I never had a seat fly up.

Try sitting on it and jumping up and down to “reset” the locking mechanism. Maybe fold the backrest forward and see if that changes anything. And try pulling the strap again and lifting up

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried that and everything else......maybe I should get a fat gal in the backseat?

Will probably end up taking it to the dealer.

Check the payload sticker on the front left door sill first. There is a weight limit.

You know what they say: Fat chicks are like mopeds because they're fun to ride but you don't want your friends to see you on one!

Laughing at some of the comments on this forum across the board. This is why we're all really here...to keep one another's spirits up with good natured ribbing. If there was a place all of us who ordered a 2022 Maverick could go and collectively have a beer together, we need to make that happen.

Its nice to see ford responding to some of these issues . my radio still stuck on one channel . has anybody taken it into the dealer for a update yet? Did update work?

I’m having the same problem with the back seat not raising. I took it to the dealership today and he couldn’t get it to work either so scheduled a shop visit to get it fixed. Could you tell me what they found that fixed the problem? I will pass it on to the shop here. I just got my Maverick two days ago. Thanks

Still haven't got it fixed as it has been difficult for me to take it in and be without it for a while. There is a recall coming for a towing software issue so when the letter arrives I'll schedule both items.

Please let me know how your situation comes out.

I was looking at it again today and I can see the bolts that should take the back off but not the rest. If I could get the whole seat out then I'm sure I could find the problem and fix it unless the hinge mechanism is defective.

Please let me know how your situation comes out.

Will do although it’s not scheduled to go into the shop until May 10th because I will be out of town all next week.

have you tried to reset your radio. Power and FF button

Yes . dealer tried it before update was available . needs dealer data updates but waiting until I need to go for oil change/ something else . stuck on channel ( jazz) that I always listen to any how . Thanks for info .
