I saw a previous post but can no longer find. They mention there is a button so you can remove them. Where is the button located? And..do the XLs have the button?
Thanks in advance!

There's a button on one of the plastic pieces that hold the metal rods. Push that in for each headrest and pull up.

XL's should have the same button.
If the headrest is against the seat back you should be able to pull up to the first click and push the button in order to remove it. This is what you are looking for. 👇👇👇👇👇

When I first got my Maverick, I pulled the headrests out and put them under the seat because I didn't like how they blocked my view out the back window. I put them back in the other day after being out for about a year and find they don't bother me at all anymore. I think it was just a matter of getting comfortable with the truck and it's sight lines. 😬

anyone know if the folding rears from an Escape will fit?

the Bronco Sport ones don't seem to have that feature.

The rear seat headrests from our 2017 Escape will fit in the back of the Maverick. I'd change them out but the fabric isn't the same color.

They fit but don't engage the locking mechanism.

True that but I wouldn't find that to be much of a problem. I also find it interesting that the locking mechanism to remove the headrest on the Escape that we have has the buttons on both posts and the Maverick has it only on the one.

I removed mine also, they did block part of the rear view- especially to the side/rear.
If I ever have need for a passenger in the rear seat, I have them under the seat and can install quickly enough.

Would be nice if the outer ones were the same small size as the center, it causes no vision impairment.

An easy way to see your blind spots in most vehicles is to simply lean forward when looking in your side mirrors. Doesn't take the place of turning your head and looking when you can but is an added help.
