Does any one have any info on a possible exact fit replacement for the subwoofer in the B&O System?

The B&O sub looks like a 6x9 speaker fwiw. Not sure if that helps with exact fit or not.

It is a 6x9 and I have seen others replace it, but don't know the mounting depth yet. I'm actually removing mine because it seems like it doesn't get enough power to do anything useful. I'm going to take the signal from it and bring it in speaker level to an amp.

I'm extremely happy with door speaker upgrades using the stock amp, however. If you haven't done that I would do that first. Keep the bass in the tone controls at or below half or you'll blow up the door speakers and/or sub.

Did you ever find an acceptable replacement?

You could say that:

It's very possible that someone could replace the stock 6x9 'woofer' and get a bit better output. However, from a budget perspective, they NEED to replace the door speakers first. That will make a massive, massive difference.

Then decide if they want things a little bit better with a new 6x9, noticeably better with a powered sub, or go for it with a custom box.

I cannot use the storage bins under the back seat for speakers because they are full of ham radio units and a 300 watt linear amplifier. I can only try to upgrade something behind the seat.
