I like this alot better than the LUND that I got. It looks like it'll do a better job. The lund does nothing at deflecting bugs.
Having said that, I did have this on my previous vehicle but took it off. Spring is horrible because we have trees all over the yard. Pollen and buds from the trees that fall in the gap between the deflector and the hood is hard to clean. More work than I'd like.
You’re talking about the Lund deflector being hard to clean? Or the other one?

Very nice!
looks great on the alto blue. I went with the Egr, very similar but different mounts. Got it because I wanted matte black. It seems to be holding up well and no issues in the car wash. I posted pics a while ago.

Tried the glue-on weathertech one, I hated the installation and uninstall was almost worse just because of how tedious the heat gun peel method is. didn't look too bad but not the look I wanted so I grabbed the AVS one. Stuck it on last night, lost a plastic screw immediately and couldn't get the other center hole aligned so I left it bolted at the two edges while I pick up some B196s. Held on great through 30 highway miles and looks amazing with the Alto Blue
Do you still have it on? just wondering if you still like it (AVS).

For anyone needling longer fasteners, Autozone part #479700 worked for me. You will have to apply a lot of pressure as you screw them in, but they will go in. Pack of 6 is ~$3.99. I used them for the 2 middle holes.

Have bugflector 2 installed with some modifications and additional longer plastic fasteners . so far so good . avs was of no help . likes : no glue , covers fender edges and have about one inch to clean behind with sponge or cloth . additionally I can tell approximately where front end of truck is when parking .

I just got the AvS bugflector II myself, was a bit annoying to install, the fasteners they give are bleh at best but I did manage to get them all lined up and attached. There was like 0 side by side wiggle room tho since the holes on the deflector weren’t very big or slotted at all, and the fit was slightly off by like a hair and the deflector would catch the front driver side fender slightly when closed.

I ended up just filing it down a hair and now it’s opening/closing just fine, took maybe 10 extra minutes of install

looks nice overall, I’ve only had the Mav 2 days now, but between that, the low profile window visors and a nice low profile tonneau, it’s looking pretty good so far. We’ll see how it helps with bugs and rocks.

I've heard the EGR variant is supposedly better quality? Wouldn't surprise me. Their window visors look to be much better quality for sure. The AVS ones I have induce tons of play in the front windows and I had to result to using my own 3M to stop it and prevent the wind noise that was getting through.

For the trouble of all our work arounds for this product and their others, I'd just buy the EGR lineup. But since I have the AVS and already drilled my custom hole, I'm not going to bother spending more money.

There are some older threads on this sub that exist from before EGR put out this sort of bugflector or window visors, but now that they have, I wouldn't recommend AVS.
