Yes stays in place all the time.

In my experience keeps vehicle cooler, cover does not get hot like dash plastic . Added benefit is cuts glare.

Yes, added protection from heat/UV needed when parked. Sunshade or coated windshield

That doesn't look too bad. I just wish that instead of little holes they sewed in some sort of material so that it looked flush. I'll be keeping it in mind when(if) we move to FL. (The main reason I'm not considering a darker color exterior.)

Well one thing that may crack dashes is the opposite end of the light spectrum from UV lights. In this case its infrared light. IR lights cause more heat and heat absorption and that is what may crack a dash. IR light is usually not protected when they make windshields and other auto glass. Even privacy glass only has protection for UV light but not IR light. Some good window tints now try to protect from IR light nowadays.

Yes, it covers the speakers in the corners as well as the center speaker in the dash. I've not noticed any discernible difference in the sound with the cover on. From the manufacturer:

" Speakers are a different story though. In most cases we will cover your speakers, but don't worry the material is designed not to muffle the sound. So why do we cover most speakers? Simple, most speakers use plastic which actually breaks down much faster than the rest of your dashboard. So we cover your speakers to make sure all of your dash is protected including the plastic trim."

Related question. Does the plastic dash in the Maverick give off that "burning plastic" smell some cars do when they are new and sitting in the sun? I wouldn't mind keeping that to a minimum.

There wasn't much "new car smell" originally and a few months later now I'd say it's entirely unremarkable.

I get the need in Florida but man they don’t look good

I feel the same. Glad to have the luxury of a garage and life in the northern climate. But there is the trade off of road salt and 6 month winters!
