I mean Ford is unlikely to see if you changed one coding or not. I don't think Forscan has any true effect on warranty status. Using something like a COBB tuner is much different. I mean warranties are very complex. I still have my warranty and can revert to factory coding at any time. and I have about 20 different forscan coding changes ive made or more lol. Give this a read below, the link is about this topic on the bronco forumsWithout any warranty issues???

So no definitive answer. I'll call my old service tech tomorrow. Thanks
HOW IS FORSCAN PERMANENT? I can go back to factory codings in 10 minutes whenever I want. For those considering the ForScan route, keep in mind that is a permanent thing.
If you just want the button to remember your setting instead of having to press it every time you start the vehicle, get an Eliminator.
It would be more of a warranty hazard to have a physical AUTO stop start eliminator installed, compared to changing 1 setting that can easily be reverted. For those considering the ForScan route, keep in mind that is a permanent thing.

AUTO STOP START ELIMINATOR is way more permanent than Forscan. Lets race to see which can be removed quicker. Ill win..For those considering the ForScan route, keep in mind that is a permanent thing.

Right. Agreed. No warranty work should be denied for either one. It's just the A/S/S system. I'm just saying if folks want the option to enable/disable it and have it remember their settings they should buy the physical eliminator instead. I've found once scenario where I enable it, and the rest of the time it's off. And it's a VERY rare scenario lol. Essentially, the eliminators make the system function like it should via memory and not a reset every time. You shouldn't ever need to remove it once it's installed unless you plan on selling. It would be more of a warranty hazard to have a physical AUTO stop start eliminator installed, compared to changing 1 setting that can easily be reverted.
I don't know if you realize this but these settings are ALREADY in the vehicle when you purchase it. Nothing is being added or removed, only changed.
Besides I HATE talking about Warranty. You COULD HAVE ZERO MODIFICATIONS ON YOUR VEHICLE AND STILL BE DENIED WARRANTY.
I have seen VW deny warranties for SEVERAL STOCK GTIs because they could tell the vehicle was abused.
RIGHT TO REPAIR ACT!
MODIFICATION MUST BE PROVEN TO HAVE CAUSED THE ISSUE TO DENY WARRANTY!
PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELF
SO you've tried the forscan setting? Because I tested it and it defaults to OFF and it will work like normal if you just click the button.. Ill test it again I meanRight. Agreed. If there was a setting in your cluster that Ford made where you could set A/S/S to Default ON or OFF you would use it correct? The closest thing to that is making changes to the A/S/S settings in forscan, the next closest thing after that is making or buying an external A/S/S Eliminator Device to do it for you.Right. Agreed. If it remembered my setting the same way everything else does, yes. I wouldn't spend $100 on an eliminator. But the last time I checked the ForScan settings were permanent and the button becomes useless once disabled. If there was a setting in your cluster that Ford made where you could set A/S/S to Default ON or OFF you would use it correct? Just My logic
Ill test it out and see!If it remembered my setting the same way everything else does, yes. I wouldn't spend $100 on an eliminator. But the last time I checked the ForScan settings were permanent and the button becomes useless once disabled.
Please check for us, because every thread previously, I think before you got here, was that way and that's why most people chose the Eliminator. For me, too late anyways, I already have the damn thing, but if we can save someone $100 that would be great!
