If the blinker update fixes it, not getting the recall

what would the battery not hold a charge? Defective ? 3 months it’s been off now and not a cold winter at all.

if you take the truck in for service they will do the blinker recall whether you want it or not as its been issued as a safety recall which requires them to do it. I asked my dealer about that when I took it in and luckily they weren't set up to do the recall yet....

Defective battery probably . if I drive on highway a couple of hours mine will start working again for short time until it sits most of time or multiple short errand trips . my maverick is 22 with less than 6.5k miles . early 22s didn't have the upgraded AGM type batteries which alternator is programmed to charge . dealership may or may not help under warranty . I personally don't like start /stop so don't care if not working is a + . extra wear and tear on engine , starter and other components imo .

It can also be the battery charge sensor on the negative battery cable next to the battery. Had that failure on a different Ford.
