Keep us posted. $16.00 is a cheap fix.

Do all the Mavs not come with the button on the console to stop this feature? If not I get the need to want the eliminator, and I may be in the minority here but I’ll save my 100 bucks and just hit the button when I get in. To each their own though 👌🏼
They all have the button, but I would often forget to push it and then get annoyed when my engine shuts off when I stop.

I have the exact one on my 2023 XLT and love it. No more starting and stopping when I hit a stop sign/light.

Where do you hook it up? In the OBD port? You can disable start/stop with ForScan

sort of.

it is a t-harness into actually the back of the obd2 diagnostic port. so it's not in the port, in the way of plugging in a scan tool or anything else that needs to be there.

I explained the differences between an autostop eliminator and forscan in post 9, and why the eliminator is better but I've uninstalled mine and am fine with forscan. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/auto-stop-eliminator.59149/post-996448

I saw a video on YouTube where a guy was hooking up one of these behind the OBD port but the dealer may try to void your warranty if they see it? I saw another video years ago where a guy pulled the button out and put a jumper in it to disable the auto start/stop. He was doing it with an F150. Ford should give us the option to disable it in settings so we don't have to look for 3rd party hacks. I know my Hybrid stops the engine sometimes too but that is different since there is an electric motor to move the vehicle from a stop and I really can't tell when the gas engine kicks on and off.

they did in ecoboost models, it's a button. it's a minor inconvenience to push it every time you start the truck, or you can use forscan, or you can buy an autostop eliminator.

it's not applicable to a hybrid as you said. they have to autostop/start to function.

some manufacturers do not include a button, especially older models when autostop on non-hybrid vehicles first started to appear about 10 years ago. so, it could be worse.

I am not talking about pushing a darn button every time you start your vehicle. We should have the option to disable it by default and only turn it on when we want it on. I know you have a button to turn it off but you have to push the button every time you start the vehicle

talk to your congressman as that's done by the EPA and NHTSA, not Ford.

you'll probably find screaming at the sky just as effective. I mean, they're trying to ban gasoline vehicles. autostop is a weird hill to die on when we do have options.

All manufacturers don't have it. Ford could give us the ability to turn it off and stay off until we turn it back on.

It hooks up under the dash above steering column. Just unplug a couple connections and install this and no more starting/stop. I really like it

Stop asking and just buy it.
I wish I had bought mine when I first got my truck. Best $100 option for the Maverick

Smart@$$, Be nice! Some of us come here for honest opinions and answers before we spend our money. I thought a forum was to ask questions from like minded people?

As much as we love our Maverick and want to doll it up a bit, it’s still some of our only means of transportation, and some of these customizations ain’t cheap! It would be nice to know if some of these customizations are the right ones, before those of us who haven’t made them yet make the wrong choices with our money. Some of us live on a fixed income, yet still have memories of what a real car was. We remember muscle cars! And probably learned to drive without power steering and unleaded gas! Even if they aren’t parked in the garage anymore.

Hello, don't know if you were referring to me but I installed one on my 2023 XLT 2 and absolutely love it. More cycling on and off the start stop switch. Sorry if I came off the wrong way but was a great investment. Thanks
