Has anyone else noticed that the auto start/stop feature has changed a couple days ago? Until a few days ago, lifting off the brake pedal would trigger the engine restart - basically same as working the steering wheel a little bit.

Now lifting off the brake pedal does nothing because it seems like brake lock (hill holder) mode is on and you have to press the gas or wiggle the steering wheel to trigger restart. There is also a new green indicator light that has a hand surrounded by a couple of circles...

Or, did I do something to engage this different mode?

Love the truck still...

Did you activate the auto-hold mode?

Mine has never restarted when foot was taken off brake. But I do use the brake hold feature, which may explain it.

I personally like the stop/start feature...it saves 1-2 mpg for me.

The “new” green indicator light is the auto hold feature. Useful when in a drive-thru.

I like to use ASS along with Auto hold specially when I am driving thru the big cities where you have to sit so long at stop lights!!

Your dog stepped on the brake hold button when transiting from your lap to your wife’s lap. Spoken from experience. 😊

Well... Yep, auto-hold was enabled. I would absolutely love to blame the dogs, but they ride in the back seat. Learned something new... never really thought I would need an auto-hold in an automatic transmission car. Super handy on a manual though.

Thanks for the responses and have a nice weekend,

Karl
