There is greater demand for the Maverick hybrid than the Maverick EB. So, if there isn't a Ram Dakota Hybrid, then they will just be chasing their tail and adding another cute little gas guzzler to the unibody pickup lineup. From the link, it is a nice looking truck.

Agree 100%. If they dont have a hybrid it is comparing apples and oranges.

Lots of Maybes in there. Maybe a mid size like the old Dakota. Maybe a new compact line. By the time they actually make decisions and get something to market, there will be a Maverick 2.0 in the works. LOL

But I welcome the new compact truck revolution. More choice and competition is good. But nothing else is imminent.

I've owned enough Chrysler products over the years to know that I'll never buy another. As of right now, there is no competition for the Maverick.

I really like the appearance of Dodge vehicles in most cases. Cars and trucks. But that thing looks like a dodge sante cruz. I prefer the boxier look of the maverick by a long shot

Let's see RAM build something for less than $22,000. Then maybe I will give it a look.

Dodge is not a word allowed in our house haha! My husband has in the past had to drive a Dodge Durango for work. Usually he is driving between Orlando & Tampa. One time OTW to Tampa it caught fire, oil leak. Couple weeks later the fleet management company told him to pu and bring to Tampa, turned out not to have been fixed and caught fire again haha. Few months go by his manager asks him to pu in Tampa and take back to Orlando, he refused, reminded them what happened and no one would ever go get it haha it disappeared in system. He has had other Dodge's breakdown on him enough that he knows the fleet Co people now.

that ram dakota is still built like the full size w/body on frame and may still offer the V8 which is keeping this far apart from the maverick for people like myself that enjoy the smaller size.
i have always loved chrysler (now stellantis) looks & styling in both cars & trucks and even had a lifted club cab 4x4 dakota i liked (but hated the noisey/clicking 6 cylinder)

that's just a lazy compilation of previously debunked rumors and speculation by a different author. They have no clue: calling a Maverick & SC "body on frame" and mid-size multiple places for starters. NONE of those SA market vehicle will pass US Emissions OR Safety regulations. No quotes from any Sellantis people - just wishful thinking by somebody trying to gin up interest and get clicks.
