Yeah, mostly because they jacked the price up on the new ones . I have had my 23 XLT for a year and a half now I paid around 25K for it(i actually just bought it outright so i didnt have payments) but its also far cheaper than a new one is(same truck now is over $30K) and was what all the rest I was looking at also so I guess yes I paid just about what the going rate was and it was only about 2K off the sticker price .. so yes pretty close as they are STILL $5K+ less than the exact same new truck

I was bored so I looked on autotrader for Mavs like mine (23 XL Hybrid < 50k miles). The asking prices were basically at or even sometimes slightly above original MSRP. I know Ford has jacked the price continuously and the used market is still all screwed up, but is this what people are actually paying? I have to imagine you won't be able to negotiate huge sums off, like maybe a grand or two. To me, that's crazy that the car has seen practically zero depreciation despite being three model years old and having 10s of thousands of miles.
To replace my 2024 Lariat with 4x4, moonroof, towing package, power rear window pushes me into a new Tremor. 8 grand more than i payed for for 2024. My Mav has 11,000 miles on it. Still not making that change even with a solid trade value.

I think this might be a trend nation wide as the Mac becomes more attractive to potential small truck buyers. I am driving a 2022 XLT Hybrid with 41, 896 miles on it and I was offered $2,500.00 more than I paid for it by Carvana. They sent me an e-mail with the offer sight unseen.
