Old man dilemma too many Mavs?

Nice to meet you Dave, here in the same State. That is an. awesome looking Tremor, congrats! Coming from someone who changes vehicles like underwear, I can see why you would cash in on the Orange one, if don't need the hyper-miler. Both have their purpose, so I see the dilemma. We own the '23 XLT AWD (already with JB4 ) and a Tesla Model 3 Performance. Same deal, different purpose, and both vehicles are great for what they are used for.

I hate to admit it. carmax offered me 4 k over my out of pocket. I have till the 19th. Thinking sell Hybrid XLT , still have the Tremor ( which I F'ing love) and I can either buy another Hybrid for msrp because I think prices are coming down near me or on 7/17 order a 2024 ST Maverick? Don't hate me. But friendly comments welcome. Understand I am an old man and have way too much time on my hands and I might drive 2500 miles a year. Thanks in advance.

You should definitely cash in now, especially before the market eventually turns. We’re in a weird space right now where these vehicles have limited supply combined with high demand. As we all know, there are various reasons for this, but this won’t always be the case and eventually these awesome trucks will turn into regular ol’ depreciating assets like most other autos.

unfortunately yes! I found him barely breathing, paramedic said blood o2 was less than 50%, already stroked out. died next day in icu. That is what is listed on death cert.

This is partially part of my dilemma too! it's already been called a taxi a bus and Bananarama!!! Old men have thin skin. I do love the color BUT The color jabs roll around in this head.

I guess I'm the exact opposite. Call my gorgeous Cyber Orange Maverick a "school bus" and it just makes my point. Who wants another black / gray / white vehicle? They don't stand out at all. Cyber Orange attracts attention, and makes it easy to find my truck at Costco or Home Depot. Not to mention the fact that people DO see it when they're on the road, unlike the ubiquitous "blech" colors so many seem to prefer.

My choices came down to Velocity Blue (discontinued for 2023, and Alto Blue just isn't the same, so nope), Hot Pepper Red (love it, but have had multiple red trucks and cars of late), and Cyber Orange. I went to UT (TN, not TX) and UTEP, and Cyber Orange is "close enough" to both school's colors. If other people don't like it, then don't buy one that color.

Sorry to hear about your brother. I had a close friend that thought that was the only way out and all the talking we did couldn't change his mind. Still miss riding dirt bike with him.
