Any Chapman Philadelphia customers use the Ford Pass Rewards Visa as part of the down payment when picking up from Chapman of Northeast Philadelphia?

My salesman (not Ed, I was handed off to someone else to handle delivery) said they don't allow it but the Chapman Philly website has a page touting the card and using it for $3,000 toward the down payment.

So, before I follow up I thought it would be worth checking here to see if others have been able to use it. Thanks!

Looks like one of many schemes to get you to sign up for a Ford Visa Card. In order to get the "prize" it appears that you need to apply for card and use it for $3,000 on down payment as the first purchase. (If you have the card and have already used it the signups prize is not available). My dealers credit card policy is $2500 using any card (2% cashbacks on mine). You can ask finance guy at payment time if he will take off the swipe fee but if you want to finance the CC amt with the loan, the lender may require a higher interest rate.

I have a Ford Visa and these are standard offerings even to existing card holders:
- 0% APR for 6 months on purchases over $500 from a Ford Dealership
- $200 statement credit after spending $6K in a single year (the offer pa-outdoorsman notes is the same, just cut in half, which I suspect is to entice more people to consider it).
- 20 "milestones" each year the card is active.
- %5/10% on Ford dealership/service purchases

On a side note, I also get other offers with it. Like many credit cards, they sometimes mail those "checks" you can use against the card balance. I note that because my dealership noted their limit is $4K for a credit card down payment, but if the card offers those "checks", those can be used to go past that limit since there is no 'swipe' fee for them. And those often come with 0% for 6 months or similar, too.

As for using the card itself, I am planning on using it if my Tremor arrives before 6/7 (bonus check timing). My Tremor's last trace showed it in TN, one state over.. It could be here next week. I will follow up to let you know how it goes.

My dealership had a $2500 limit on my Maverick purchase using the FordPass Visa. Then I charged another $3500 on the card for Ford accessories and other general merchandise and received a $200 credit plus FordPass points.

The $200 statement credit after spending $6K is available yearly from the anniversary date on your card. So once I get to $6000 I get $200 and stop using that card until my next anniversary date. So it amounts to 3% back on the $6000 plus FordPass points.

You actually get both. $100 at $3k is a first year bonus. So if you spend $6k your first year you get $300 back.
